Each star is clear glass with a white center and a dichroic stamp in the center of the star
It glows so bright in the center it lights up the ends of the starfish, see photos

Each star has phosphorus in them, phosphorus is what makes them glow in the dark
When phosphorus is exposed to light it is absorbed and will glow in the dark at night
